What your fee covers
Each fee is a single, one-off payment that covers everything you need to receive a correctly drafted, witnessed-ready deed poll certificate for changing your name in the UK. There are no recurring charges, no subscriptions and no application fees payable to government departments — a deed poll is purely a private document you prepare and witness yourself.
Your fee covers professional preparation of the deed poll to the standard unenrolled-deed-poll format accepted by most UK institutions — HM Passport Office, the DVLA, HMRC, UK banks, the NHS, employers and every other recognised UK institution. We individually check the names on the certificate and the witness declaration, print the certificate where applicable, post it to your UK address using Royal Mail and provide ongoing email support if you have questions about signing or using the document.
You can prepare an unenrolled deed poll yourself at no cost — UK law does not require a professionally drafted document. What you are paying for here is the preparation, checking, printing, posting and support, not the legal right to change your name. Optional extras such as certified copies, sealed certificates and lifetime archiving can be added only if you need them.
Every package also includes the 30-day money-back guarantee. If your document is not accepted by a UK organisation because of the format we supplied, we will reissue it free of charge or refund you in full — so you can apply with complete confidence.

Pricing questions
Do I need to pay VAT?▼
The price shown at checkout is the total service price for the package you choose. Any tax treatment is handled as required; there is no subscription or recurring charge.
Are there any hidden fees?▼
No. The fee shown is a one-off charge and covers preparation, checking, printing (where you choose a posted package) and support.
Which package should I choose?▼
Choose based on how quickly you need the document. The digital package is sent by email within a few minutes; standard post arrives in 3 to 5 working days; express post arrives in 1 to 2 working days.
Can I upgrade after ordering?▼
Yes. Contact us within 24 hours and we can usually upgrade your package for the price difference.
Can I prepare a deed poll myself for free?▼
Yes. You can prepare an unenrolled deed poll yourself at no cost. If you use this service, you are paying us for professional preparation, checking, printing and support — not for the legal right to change your name.
What does the preparation and checking fee actually cover?▼
Your fee covers drafting the deed poll to the format accepted by UK institutions, an individual check of your names and witness declaration, printing (where you choose a posted package), Royal Mail dispatch and ongoing email support. There are no additional charges unless you choose optional extras such as certified copies, sealed certificates or lifetime archiving.
Will the document be accepted by the passport office, my bank and the DVLA?▼
Our certificates are drafted to the standard unenrolled-deed-poll format accepted by most UK institutions including HM Passport Office, the DVLA, HMRC, UK banks and building societies, the NHS and employers. If a UK organisation refuses the document because of the format we supplied, we will reissue it free of charge or refund you in full under our money-back guarantee. Individual organisations can set their own additional evidence requirements.
Can I add certified copies or lifetime archiving after I have ordered?▼
Yes. You can add certified and sealed copies, lifetime digital archiving or other extras at the time of ordering or afterwards by contacting our team. Existing digital certificates remain available in your account and can be re-downloaded at no extra charge within the first 30 days.
What happens if my posted certificate is lost or damaged in transit?▼
If your posted document is lost or damaged in the post we will replace it free of charge. Posted packages include tracked delivery and the 30-day money-back guarantee, so you are fully covered if anything goes wrong.
Do I need to enrol my deed poll with the courts?▼
No. Enrolling your deed poll with the Royal Courts of Justice is optional and not required for the document to be legally valid. Unenrolled deed polls are accepted by most UK institutions for day-to-day name changes; enrolling is a more formal route that some organisations (including some foreign governments) sometimes prefer, but it isn't required in the UK.
